Vision Boards.

A few years ago, my mom read somewhere, or perhaps it was on a TV show that every person should make a vision board of their goals in life.  It can have phrases, objects, pictures, and any scraps of life that stand out as inspiring to you.  At the time, she was staying with her parents carrying for her father as he reached the final stages of his life.  She and my Grandmother used their spare time to create their very own vision boards.

Here is my mom's work in progress.  Everything on it so far makes me think, "Yep!  That's SO her!"

This is my Grandma's Vision board front and back.

I decided to make one for myself as motivation while I attend school.  I add things to it that I hear along the way, the rare compliments I get from my professors, and anything else that reminds me why the heck I'm doing this!!

Here is my PhD vision board.  Looks a mess and I need to get a bigger one but I like that it's all me!

Quilted Cards.

I am LOVING this idea and really want to do it.  Again, I have the problem of not having fabrics, but I'll change that.  THIS post has the tutorial. Here's some pics from it.

Stamp Making.

I've never really had an interest in making my own stamps.  At my last job, one of my friends would make her own rubber stamps in her spare time, and they were always cute but I still had no interest in doing my own.  Until I saw this post.  I think it looks fun to give it a try.  I wonder if my boys would get as creative as these girls did in THIS post.  I only borrowed a few of the pictures, so be sure to go over and check it out.

Toilet Paper Decorations.

I have seen this idea many times before, but with different designs and colors.  It's one of those that I want to do, and then second guess if it is worth all the work for something so literally cheap.

In THIS post, she talks about it being her "Homage to Pregnancy" because is you haven't guessed it yet, it is made out of empty toilet paper rolls.

A tutorial and example of a similar design is HERE.

Filter Christmas Trees.

I think it is so cute!   I found it HERE.  I decided a while ago that I wanted to have a snowman collection for the holidays.  You know how people usually have one or two things that they focus on such as Charlie Brown stuff, worldwide Santa's, etc.  I want snowmen.

But this year, I have decided that I am going to add Christmas trees. A variety of them.  I'm not sure yet, but I think I want them to be homemade. (By me or my family, so please, no buying me anything, unless it's super cute and you can't pass it up)   Did I mention that this is made of coffee filters? I know, cool, right?

Birthday Notes.

I like the idea that you can pull this out on someone's birthday and the whole family has to write a nice note to the special person.   The balloon wreath is also on my list to make one day.

Growing up, we always had red plate that said "Special Day" or something like that,  and I'm ashamed to say, I don' t even have one of those.  I need more birthday traditions!
